Stunning scenery of every kind help to make Norfolk an extremely well known and popular tourist destination. Beaches, rolling countryside or lakes and river; Norfolk has it all! However, the size of this gorgeous country allow one to disappear into quintessential English countryside whilst still having great access to urban areas.
One of the most popular destinations in Norfolk is the broads. A series of lakes and rivers in the East of the county, which spread into Suffolk. Staying in a luxury cottage near the north Norfolk coast gives one great access to this beautiful ‘Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. Norfolk’s extensive history is perhaps one of the most alluring features of this county. Famed for the Saxon and Viking invasions, Norfolk is home to ancient churches, monuments and landscapes that encapsulate some of England’s wide history.
Staying in a luxury cottage near the North Norfolk Coast gives one great access to all of these features, but also infamous walking, cycling and swimming locations. There are a combined 1200m of bridleways, cycle tracks and paths, that criss-cross the county. Staying in luxury cottages near the north Norfolk coast will be a great base, from which to explore this incredible facility.
From ‘King’s Lynn’ to ‘Great Yarmouth’, the North Norfolk coast stretches 100miles, providing a variety of terrains and coastal scenery to enjoy. The Norfolk Coast Path itself runs along an old Roman Road taking in views of the Wash and the Lincolnshire Coastline at Hunstanton, and through many internationally recognised wildlife reserves.
45 miles of beaches fringe North Norfolk, earning international recognition. From Holkham to Wells, there are stunning beaches aplenty. Wells Beach was awarded in May 2017, a Seaside Award, which means visitors can enjoy a clean, safe, attractive and well-managed coastal stretch. You can reach the beach from the town by the Wells Harbour Railway which was the first 10.25 inch railway to operate a scheduled service and appears in the Guiness World Records.
We believe that Norfolk is one of the most beautiful locations in the UK and that the best way to see it is by staying in a luxury cottage near the North Norfolk Coast.
