To the rear of Alice Howe there is an enclosed courtyard garden with outdoor furniture and a 7 seat hot tub in an enclosed shelter. To the front of the property there is parking for up to 6 cars. The property is located a 2 minute walk from Windermere Village and it's numerous shops, restaurants and bars.
On the ground floor there is a cosy lounge with leather Chesterfields, an open fire, TV and DVD player.
The dining room is a regal space with large table and seating for all 14 guests, there is an open fire and a Bose sound dock system to plug your laptop or mobile phone into.
There are 2 parts to the kitchen: A cooking and eating section with large 6 ring-burner, 3 oven range cooker, farmhouse table and benches and a wood burning stove. Plus a storage and washing up area containing an American style fridge freezer and 2 dishwashers.
In the cellar there is a pool table and washer/dryer.
First Floor Description
On the first floor bedroom 1 features a 4 poster bed and ensuite shoer and toilet.
Bedroom 2 is a twin with ensuite shower and toilet.
Bedroom 3 features a 4 poster bed and ensuite shoer and toilet.
Bedroom 4 has adult size bunk beds and the use of a bathroom and toilet accessed via the landing area.
Second Floor and Above Description
Bedroom 5 is a twin the use of a bathroom and toilet accessed via the landing area.
Bedroom 6 is a twin with ensuite shower and toilet.
Bedroom 7 is a twin with ensuite shower and toilet.
Window Views Description
The rear of Alice Howe looks out to Orrest Head, which is noted as one of the best short walks in the Lake District. The walk which inspired Alfred Wainwright to move to the Lake District and begin wring his famous guide books.
If you are arriving by train we are very close to Windermere station.
