Beautifully restored recently this is the original gate lodge for Balgedie House. Elegantly furnished the property is available and can accommodate 5 (+1) and is pet friendly. There are three bedrooms, two double bedrooms and one single. There is a family bathroom with an electric shower over the bath and also a wet room which is also an ensuite to the master bedroom.
The sitting room is spacious, yet cosy and has an open fire for those chilly evenings. There is also a flat screen TV and DVD.
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you could possibly need during your stay.
Many guests tell us that their favourite room is the sunroom, with its uninterrupted views of Loch Leven. Hear you can relax and reminisce about the day’s events and plan for tomorrow.
Outside the garden is fully enclosed making it a safe place for small children to play and dogs to run about in too. There's also outdoor seating under a covered terrace with a fire pit and BBQ.
From your rear of the property you can walk to Bishops Hills, part of the Lomond Hills National Park, at the back. Out of the front gate there is a path that takes you through the fields and down to the Loch.
Just half a mile from the lodge the local pub, The Balgedie Toll Tavern, serves good beer and food
As you enter the Lodge, you walk into the sunroom, a beautiful spot and it's not hard to see why it's a favourite among so many! The views through the large windows, over the fields and down to the Loch, are truly stunning, whatever the weather, time of day or year! There are some comfy chairs too, so it's easy to get settled in, grab a drink of choice, a good book and sit back and relax. There are lots of books, maps and guides and games here for you to use during your stay too.
Through the sunroom, there's the kitchen, a bright and very well equipped space with all you need to cook up some treats and delicious meals while you're there. There's everything you'd expect in a luxury lodge, with a nespresso coffee machine, a sandwich toaster, a toaster, lots of pots and pans and sharp knives etc so if you enjoy cooking you will feel very at home here. Saying that, if you'd rather hand the mantle to someone else we can arrange for a caterer to help you, as well as recommend lots of places to eat near by too.
The sitting room is a stylish but cosy room with large sofas and an open log fire which can be romantic in the evening. It offers a tranquil space to retreat to, snuggle up in, and enjoy the evenings together, with a good book or a infront of the tele with a good DVD.
The master bedroom has been designed to be relaxing and tranquil, with a large window looking out over the garden. The superking bed is adorned with luxury linens and the only difficulty can be getting up and out in the morning!
