Beechnut, is an award-winning romantic retreat with its light and airy living room and separate bedroom, is a firm favourite for couples looking to stay in a quality cottage in a peaceful location. Superior crafted, natural luxury together with our exacting standards and attention to detail ensure that Beechnut offers guests a truly relaxing and pleasurable experience.
Beachnut is one of just five luxury, award-winning luxury self-catering holiday cottages at Heath Farm in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The cottages can accommodate between 2 – 4 adults and have been furnished and fitted to a very high standard. For a larger group you may prefer booking Cobnut & Chestnut together known as Aslan. All cottages can be booked (only for weekly break) and can accommodate 14 guests.
Delightfully situated these old stone farm buildings are set in 70 acres of meadow and woodland. This is a nature lovers paradise and walkers and cyclists also love it here. Grouped around a stunning paved courtyard the cottages make the ideal base for a holiday or break at any time of the year.
Heath Farm is ideally placed for exploring the beautiful villages and historic towns of The Cotswolds with plenty of cultural and leisure activities to be found in places such as Oxford, Stratford and even closer by in Chipping Norton, Banbury and various other towns in the stunning Cotswolds.

Outside Description
As well as the magnificent courtyard with water feature and herb and flower adorned borders there are also 70 acres of amazing private woodland and meadow to explore. There are communal gardens with flower borders, comfortable seating and great views overlooking the courtyard and valley beyond. Past the orchard there's a games lawn which has a croquet pitch and games shed packed full of kit including kids archery, giant jenga, kites, bat & ball games and more. There's also a 14ft diameter trampoline and also a woodland stage. Feel free to roam around the woodland at your own pace. We also have a games room which has a pool table, table tennis, darts board, movie projector and sound system. There's also a host of board games, DVD's, musical equipment and books which you are welcome to take to your cottage. There's also an exercise bike, gym mats and even a telescope available to use! We have a number of commercial units at the farm which house 3 joinery shops, a motorbike showroom, tiling showroom, 2 bakeries (cakes only) and a sound recording studio.
Downstairs Description
Beechnut has a light and airy open plan kitchen and living room with a separate bedroom, a firm favourite with romantics, artists, writers and creative souls. The cottageis full of character and detail. A haven of rural tranquility which enables you to unwind and inspire your inner creativity.
The entrance is beneath the dovecote roof with a weighty wooden door with wrought iron grille that leads into the lobby. On the left is the bedroom with stone mullioned arched windows looking out onto the animal field wher sheep and goats graze. The narrow medieval styled arched door and stone passageway with a couple of steps ehich is to the right of the lobby leads past the unusual Moroccan styled bathroom with spacious power shower. A couple more steps leads down into the light and airy living area with sofa bed, open Adobe style fireplace and open plan fully equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs.
The whitewashed walls and terracotta floor tiles and rugs throughout further adds to the Mediterranean feel. The high pitched ceilings, exposed beams also add to the ambience, white curtained windows look out onto the courtyard, where the morning sun streams in.
All our cottages have superior craftsmanship and a natural luxurious feel. Combine this this with our exacting standards and attention to detail ensures that Beechnut offers guests a truly relaxing and pleasurable experience. As with all our cottages, Beechnut has outperformed its star rating and been awarded gold by Visit England in recognition of exceptional quality. We are also Gold standard with Green Tourism for our environmental standards.
