Curlew Cottage is a delightful, 19th century cottage that in days passed was the Pig byre to Portnellan Farm. Nowadays, Curlew is fully upgraded to a Visitscotland 4 star holiday cottage.
This 2 bedroom, 4 star cottage boasts a king size double bedroom and a further twin bedroom. The cottage has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment to include a wood burning stove, low energy lighting and heating system and a hand built Cherry wood kitchen.
Curlew Cottage is a property on the beautiful Portnellan Estate which is delightfully located within the heart of the Highlands of Scotland. As you would expect the surrounding are breathe-taking with awe-inspiring views of loch, glen and mountains. Portnellan, offers award-winning 4 and 5 star self catering accommodation sleeping up to 16 people within 1 to 8 bedroom chalets and cottages.
Portnellan is situated outside the picturesque village of Crianlarich, which is the perfect base from which to explore the Highlands and is ideal for touring and visiting many Scottish attractions. There are fantastic hill walking opportunities in the area, within a 10 mile radius there are 40 munros, superb hill running and first class cycling.
There are many activities onsite to enjoy including free use of rowing boats, Canadian canoes, and 5 miles of loch and river fishing. In addition there is an on site visitor centre with a small essentials shop.
