Outside Description
Explore the garden, walk along the ornamental Victorian pathways and enjoy the specimen planting and landscaping created by Joseph Paxton, Head Gardener at Chatsworth who bought Darley House for his daughter in the 1840s. The stone balustrade is the same design at Haddon Hall.
On the large main lawn the children can kick a football, set up the badminton net or you can all play croquet or try pétanque on the gravel path ways.
The planting is spectacular and the garden meticulously cared for by our gardener who likes to arrange flowers from the garden for our guests.
There are many areas to sit and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine or cook with family al fresco. The rear walled patio has a Big Green Egg BBQ and outdoor table and chairs.
