This romantic holiday cottage is perfect for couples looking to escape to this glorious part of South Devon to relax, re-charge and enjoy stunning scenery in a gorgeous converted stone cottage. The cottage is surrounded by valley views, king-size bed, spa bath big enough for 2, own parking space, log-burner, and wifi. Short breaks are available out of the main season. This is a pet free cottage.
The Owlery is perfectly situated in the higher valley at Dittiscombe Estate in South Devon. It is just a 10 minute drive from Slapton village, Start Bay beaches and Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve. It is also a short drive away from further unspoilt beaches and estuaries, and the famous nautical towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe.
This part of Devon is a walker’s paradise with stunning coastal and country walks from your doorstep as well as the beautiful South Devon coastal path within easy reach. There is a great choice of award-winning pubs and restaurants to choose from and a wide range of activities to be enjoyed.

Outside Description
The Owlery garden overlooks part of the rewilded estate of Dittiscombe. In the garden you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or alfresco meal (outdoor furniture provided) whilst looking over the small pond. There is also a private lawned garden, perfect for relaxing with views over the valley.
The Owlery has its own parking space in front of the cottage.
Downstairs Description
There is an open-plan living area with sofa and coffee tables, log-burner, TV with streaming, wifi, books and views of the surrounding valley. A dining table and chairs, well equipped kitchen with hob, cooker, microwave, fridge, and everything needed for a self catering break. There is oil fired heating throughout.
First Floor Description
There is a galleried mezzanine upper floor with kingsize bed, wardrobe and dressing table and bluetooth radio , all a few steps up from the ground floor, with window looking out over the orchard.
Second Floor Description
The bathroom is located on the lower ground floor, with fabulous spa bath big enough for two, a separate shower cubicle, WC, wash basin, and heated towel rail.
