The house is simply perfect for extended family holidays, groups of friends or as the venue to celebrate a special occasion or event. Dove House is spacious, peaceful and offers superb facilities throughout. The chef in your party will be able to cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen with white stone tops throughout. 6 burner gas hob, 3 ovens, microwave, large fridge, large fridge/freezer, drinks fridge and 2 dishwashers (all Neff appliances).
Guests can relax and catch up in the spacious living room with open fire in stone surround and rugs on an oak floor. It has TV/DVD, ipod docking station/speakers. Full Sky package
Dove House sleeps 13 in 7 en-suite bedrooms. The interior is light, spacious and furnished to a high standard. There is and an enclosed garden area with patio and large covered area leading to the fabulous indoor pool.
The large parking area is to the north of the house and there is a small private garden on this side if anyone wants to escape the melee and have a few moments of peace!! There is also the outside play area on this side, with small covered deck area with a slide off it , a banana boat and toddler swing. There is direct access from the house onto various footpaths and the farm. To the southern side of the house is the enclosed garden with a large patio area, garden table and chairs and the beautiful indoor pool with doors that open onto the garden on hotter days. The pool also has a shower and W.C. in it. There is croquet and badminton set available. The owner's tennis court is available for guest use and a short walk from the house.
The front door brings you into a spacious flagtone hallway with a cloakroom/wc. To the left is the large kitchen/dining room. This fabulously equipped kitchen is a really lovely space with access via French doors to the south facing patio area. There is a sofa and TV along with stools at the island for sociable cooking!! Many groups spend their time in this area and the outside area during the summer months. The kitchen leads through to a large utility with plenty of coat hanging space, extra storage, and a large commercial washing machine and dryer. From here there is covered access to the indoor pool with a sofa and chairs and the bbq providing protection from the rain or sun if needed. The games room with large screen TV, pool table and table football is just across the garden. To the right of the front hall (down 4 steps with hand rail) is the large living room with a beautiful open fire (with screen for safety). The large TV has a full sky package and there is a big sonos speaker system. There are plenty of books and games along with two seating areas. This is a very sociable and spacious room with double aspect windows and French doors to the enclosed south facing garden. The sitting room leads to the downstairs double/twin bedroom and en-suite shower room.
First Floor Description
Upstairs there are three bedrooms left and right. All are en-suite. There are two double bedrooms and three twin/doubles and a pretty single room. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs and the landing is on two levels with 4 steps down to the second level with handrail.
Window Views Description
All the northern windows of the house have extensive rural views. The south facing windows also have extensive views and look out onto the garden area/patio and a lovely old traditional barn opposite. The house is approached down a mile long private drive, firstly through woods then through open fields, often with sheep or cattle grazing, peppered with a few cottages and Dove House is situated right at the end of the drive.
