Weiroch Lodge is an impressive Five-Star 18th-century mill conversion set in private seclusion by the River Spey, between Grantown on Spey and Aberlour. With riverside walks and scenic forest trails straight from the door, abundant wildlife, salmon fishing and golfing, there’s also the Cairngorm National Park and picturesque Moray Firth coastline to explore, besides historic castles and, of course, numerous world-famous Malt Whisky distilleries to visit.
The Lodge offers exceptionally spacious accommodation for up to eight guests, with a maximum of six adults plus two children (under 10yrs) in three en-suite bedrooms. There is a superb dining-kitchen, magnificent library/drawing-room, utility/boot-room and downstairs cloakroom. Beautifully presented, with tartan curtains, tweed fabrics, antique pieces and trompe l’oeil wall murals, the decor nods to old style hunting lodges while elegant chandeliers and blazing fireplaces add a touch of cosy grandeur. Outside is a large fenced garden and access to miles of wonderful walks.
