Kokopelli Cottage - Dog friendly holiday cottage near Sidmouth in Devon
If you are looking to escape to Devon with family or friends then Kokopelli Cottage near Sidmouth and next to The Sidmouth donkey sanctuary may well be the perfect choice. This dog friendly holiday property is bright, modern, single storey, two bedroom with a private patio area and has easy access.It is a 5 minute walk to the fabulous donkey sanctuary.
We called our cottage Kokopelli (coco-pelli)as he was the native American god of laughter and music and brought joy to everyone he visited.
Inside the cottage is spacious and ideal for holidays and special breaks. There is an open plan layout for the kitchen, dining area and living room. There is a master bedroom with kingsize bed and a second bedroom with twin beds. A baby cot is also available if required.
Outside the garden and patio area are south facing so making it ideal for breakfasts and BBQs on the terrace in the sun. It is surrounded by grass so ideal for dogs and children but it is also quiet and private so equally great for couples or friends. There is a patio table and chairs, sun umbrella and a BBQ. Also provided are 2 reclining patio chairs and 2 folding picnic chairs
Kokopelli Cottage offers a super base from which to explore Sidmouth and the beautiful Jurassic coast and perfect for visiting the donkey sanctuary.

Outside Description
Kokopelli is in a very private corner of a very small privately owned site of bungalows. Our patio area is south facing so perfect for breakfast , lunch or evening BBQs. All our guests are amazed at how quiet it is but there is often a bunny to watch and plenty of birds . We are surrounded by a large grass area which is perfect for playing games on and stretching dogs legs . We are a short walk to the SW coast path, miles of tracks round the donkey sanctuary and provide lots of maps, walking books etc.
Downstairs Description
Kokopelli is single story with open plan living, dining and kitchen area and is also suitable for those with more limited mobility. Well equipped modern kitchen with full size oven and hob, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, washer/dryer, slow cooker, coffee machine and nearly everything we think you'd need for proper cooking. There is a 4 seater and 2 seater sofa and dining table and 6 chairs. Wooden flooring with patio doors from the kitchen area and lounge area on to our lovely south facing patio. We have a high chair if needed. Both bedroom lead off the ground floor, the master bedrrom has a king size bed with chest of drawesra , bedside tables and a wardrobe and full length mirror. Hairdryers are provided . Bedroom 2 has full size twin beds, chest of drawers , 2 bedside tables and a wardrobe. We can provide a travel cot (no bedding supplied) or a bed guard. There are childrens toys available. The bathroom was newly installed in 2022 with bath with shower attachment, seperate walk in shower and vanity unit and toilet.
Window Views Description
From our big patio doors in the lounge you can see grass and hedges and our lovely patio. a few metres along the boundary you can see the sea .

The donkey sanctuary is a 5 minute walk from Kokopelli. It is a great day out and free entry, dog friendly and has a lovely cafe perfect for breakfast or lunch.
