The lodge is fully equipped with everything you might need, from bed linen and towels, to a travel cot and high chair; you needn’t bring a thing, just turn up and relax. On the ground floor there is a large open-plan living space, boasting a kitchen fully-equipped with a range cooker and gas stove, a coffee machine, integrated appliances including a dishwasher, a washing machine and tumble dryer, and also comes complete with all crockery and cutlery, offering all you could need for a self-catered stay, and for any cooking enthusiasts, Casa Loma also has a range of cook books available for your use!
Following on from the kitchen and past the colourful dining area where you can take your pick from both a breakfast bar and a dining table, you have a bright and airy sitting area with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows providing outstanding panoramic views across the lake and surrounding landscape. The living area is finished to the highest standard, with Harris Tweed sofas, underfloor heating throughout, a woodburning stove and collection of board games to keep you entertained.
One of the three spacious bedrooms is also situated on the ground floor, with either a super-king-size bed or two singles to suit your needs, with all bedrooms boasting Smart TVs and en-suite bathrooms complete with toiletries and hairdryers, providing all the essentials for a truly tranquil stay. Two additional fold-out three foot beds available for the master bedroom upon request.
Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom and an entertainment room fully stocked with a large TV, PS4 complete with games, reclining sofas and LED customisable mood lighting, a true haven for the little ones to escape to. On the first floor there is a small reading nook on the landing complete with a collection of books and stunning views across the lake and surrounding landscape, followed by another two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom, with either a super-king-size bed or two singles, leads to a rear balcony overlooking the lake and patio area. The second bedroom comes with either a king-size bed or two singles, each room providing a flexible sleeping arrangement for a variety of group needs as well as a wonderfully stylish interior.
To the rear of the property is a large patio area with a side lawn and veranda; from the patio you can truly benefit from the breath-taking views across Jackdaw Quarry, enjoying alfresco dining or taking in the wildlife and natural beauty of the area from the seating area with a gas powered fire pit table. You can also take full advantage of the lake, as open water swimming is included in your stay during the dive centre opening hours! The local area is extremely idyllic, with plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling and soaking up your scenery.
