This dreamily romantic Highland retreat has been transformed in to a stylish yet cosy bolthole for two. This 19th century stone cottage has sumptuous double bedroom with kingsize bed has a large, underfloor-heated ensuite bathroom, with a bath and shower. There is an open-plan living room and kitchen, and there is a double-sided wood burning stove both the living room and bedroom.
The cottage is secluded but the walking path around the loch is nearby. This area is a nature lover and walkers paradise with so much to see and do. If you can pull yourself away from the cottage you’ll be right in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, with its dramatic, mountainous landscapes, charming towns and villages and an endless range of outdoor activities.
The cottage sits right on the shore of Loch an Eilein, with its own private garden. You overlook the loch and the island with its ruined 13th century castle. It really is one of the most romantic spots in all of the Highlands. There is also a shed for secure storage of bikes and other sporting equipment, and a wood shed full of ready-chopped wood for the wood burner.
The cottage has a double height open plan living room-kitchen with spectacular views out to the Loch and the castle on the loch island. There are window seats at all the living room and kitchen windows for enjoying the beautiful views. There is a double sided stove to both the living room and bedroom, with a sumptuous and supremely comfortable king size bed. You have an en-suite bathroom with rainshower and spa bath with its own flat screen TV. TVs also in the bedroom and the living room. Leading on from the bedroom is the sit-out-erie, a light and bright conservatory where you can relax and watch the wildlife, read a book or enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. Modern range cooker and all modern equipment are provided in the kitchen, and a washing machine and tumble dryer in the sitouterie.
