Perfect for extended families and larger groups the main house is spacious, elegant and welcoming. The owners have managed to merge many of the house’s original features with all of the mod cons and facilities of today. There is a beautiful entrance hallway and staircase, two very large reception rooms and six large bedrooms (three of which are en-suite) and two further family bathrooms. The views from every window are truly spectacular. The house can sleep up to 17 people or can be linked with the adjoining cottage (Y Popty) via two doorways on the ground and first floor to accommodate a further 6 guests
Pentre Bach Main House in Southern Snowdonia is one of just three properties at Pentre Bach Holiday Cottages which can be booked separately or in any combination depending on the size of your party. The quintessential farmhouse cottages which are built of grey flintstone with beamed sitting/dining areas, also have an emphasis on cosiness and comfort. Delightfully situated where the mountains meet the sea overlooking Cardigan Bay the properties are simply perfect for your next holiday, shorter break or as the venue to celebrate a special occasion or event.
The house is located on the edge of the pretty village of Llwyngwril , where there is a very welcoming pub and small village shop, just a short walk away. The village is well known for its yarnbombing during the summer months when you can come across all sorts of knitted wonders!
The beach is also just a short stroll away, as is the train station, but you must remember to put your hand out to stop the train!
Pentre Bach House is located on the edge of the village of Llwyngwril, down a 250 metre drive and surrounded by farmland. There is a large slate patio complete with huge patio table and chairs, along with another picnic table and large charcoal barbeque. There is also another bench on the lawn where guests like to sit and enjoy the views. The lawns and flower borders are beautifully kept. Across the ha-ha is our large field where guests can play ball games, fly kites, etc.
An entrance lobby ,complete with toilet and shower, leads you into a beautiful hall with sweeping staircase. The first room you come to is the spacious lounge with comfy seating, coffee table, TV and log burner. There are also window seats in the bay window so you can sit and watch the ever-changing views of the sea, and maybe catch a glimpse of passing dolphins. The next room is the dining room with its huge dining table that can seat up to 20 or more if another table is added. Other furniture includes a sideboard and Welsh dresser. There's always a guitar in this room for any budding musicians and of course another window seat in the large bay. Through another slate floored hall and you will come to the large traditional farmhouse kitchen. This is equipped with everything that you are likely to need, including an 8 burner dual fuel cooker, tall fridge, tall freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Finally there is another hall for storage, but which also houses another fridge which many guests tend to use to store their beer!
