Perfect for families and groups of friends Mill Barn has been converted from the farm's 17th Century grain store and now provides award winning (4 Star Gold) holiday accommodation.
Mill Barn is the largest of four beautifully converted stone barns at Tredarrup Holiday Cottages, sleeping up to 6 guests in three bedrooms with two bathrooms. The upstairs open-plan living area with woodburner is the perfect place to entertain and enjoy each other’s company whilst the well-equipped and spacious farmhouse kitchen and dining area can accommodate the whole party with ease. Guests can enjoy stunning countryside views across North Cornwall to the hills at St. Austell. Downstairs, off the original granite-cobbled corridor, there are three comfortable double bedrooms, all with luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton bedlinen.
The cottage is located on a smallholding in beautiful Cornish countryside, ideally positioned to explore the stunning North Cornwall coast, or perhaps walking is your thing and then there is the rugged Bodmin Moor to visit. Padstow and Port Isaac are in easy striking distance and foodies will love the wide choice of restaurants and eateries available. The cottages at Tredarrup are ideally located to explore the beauty of both Cornwall and Devon
At the front of Mill Barn is the old horse engine house, where horses would have once driven the mill wheel. This is now a characterful, covered seating area with an oak table and comfy wicker chairs. There are beautiful views across Cornwall. Sheltered from the weather under the slate roof, and adorned with festoon lighting, it's a great place to enjoy a BBQ. A second, lower terrace has benches around a firepit - grab some blankets from indoors and spend the evening watching the sunset and toasting toes and marshmallows. Adjacent to the seating areas is a large grassed garden, shared with the other three cottages. There's ample space for ball games and the lower area is furnished with comfortable sofas, tables and armchairs where you can enjoy a glass of something cold whilst admiring the views across North Cornwall. Take a walk around the adjoining 5 acre smallholding, where you'll find the chickens who provide your breakfast eggs as well as pygmy goats, sheep, pigs, ducks and geese.
Downstairs you'll find three bedrooms leading from a hallway with the original cobbled floor. Tucked away at one end of the barn is the master bedroom, with granite walls and floor, a thick and cosy rug and a window with the original deep, stone grain sill looking out to the garden and beyond. Here you can sink into the fully upholstered super-king-size bed with luxury bedlinen. Directly adjacent to the master bedroom is the spacious shower room featuring a generously sized cubicle with rainfall shower, a heated towel rail and luxury toiletries. Along the corridor is the third bedroom, with stone walls, twin 3ft beds and ample storage. The second bedroom has twin 3ft beds that can be joined to make a comfortable super-king-size bed, making Mill Barn a flexible option for extended families and groups of friends. There are black-out blinds and hairdryers in all three bedrooms. At the end of the corridor is the large family bathroom. Full of character, with the original slate floor and stone walls, it's the perfect place to relax at the end of the day with a soak in the freestanding roll-top bath and for children to enjoy splashy bubble baths - bubbles included! There's a shower over the bath too, ideal for washing off sand after a day at the beach. A door from the corridor leads to the outside courtyard.
First Floor Description

The hand-built farmhouse-style kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need for relaxing meals with friends and family. The farmhouse table seats six comfortably.
