The Temple At Stancombe Park

Dursley,

Gloucestershire, South West England, The Cotswolds

The Temple at Stancombe is an early nineteenth century Doric Temple that sits above a Grade I Listed garden, once voted the most romantic destination in Britain. Surrounded by hidden tunnels, a grotto and varied landscape the Temple is perfect for seclusion and relaxation, and guests have complete privacy in this oasis of calm. A boathouse sits below the Temple and guests are able to while away the hours on the lake, or use the Temple terrace to BBQ or take in a sundowner.

The Temple is reached by it own long winding drive, across the beautiful Stancombe Estate, and is within walking distance of the Cotswold Way, and is found in one of Gloucestershire’s most beautiful and hidden spots.

Inside, the accommodation is just as majestic, with Doric columns and sumptuous furnishings. A double bed sits in an alcove, and guests wake up to the gentle sound of fountains. There is a small, but well equipped kitchen, as well as a television with Free-Sat, and central heating.

As part of a guest’s booking rate a welcome pack is provided of smoked salmon, cured meats, pastries, fruit, chocolate, champagne and some essentials..

The Temple is a unique property, and its majestic surroundings allow for a truly spectacular and memorable stay.

Sleeps two only. Broadband wireless internet is installed. Indulgent Massages can be organised on site.
