Outside Description
The garden is huge and about 2 acres. There is plenty of space to run about, play house badminton (supplied) or make dens under the walnut tree. There is a south facing terrace which captures the sun and has an outdoor table for 18 with large parasol during the summer months. A weber style bbq is supplied during the summer. The cottage has a small terrace which is east facing and has its own outdoor furniture and parasol in the summer. This is the perfect place for a quiet breakfast just in case you are not ready to join the crowds. A large playing field is prepared and has 2 football goals. In the outbuildings there is a games room with pool and table football and a rustic table tennis room can be found. There is a stable which can be used for bike storage.
Downstairs Description
Monnington House has a spacious hall leading to the fully equipped kitchen which is geared up for numbers and catering. The dining area seat 18 and by arrangement can seat 24. It has a generous supply of crockery, pots and pans and glasses making entertaining easy and fun. There are 2 electric ovens, 2 dishwashers and an aga during the winter months plus huge american style fridge freezer. There is a cosy snug next to the dining area with comfy sofa and wood burner which attracts those who are not on cooking duty and bookworms who wish to browse through the bookshelves.. There is a tv room with 3 sofas and a formal drawing room with card table and games. Both have wood burners and are adjacent to each other. There is a great laundry room with washer and dryer and a boot room for coats, boots and any wet dogs you might have. The cottage which adjoins Monnington House has a fully fitted kitchen with table for breakfast, a sitting /dining room with faux wood burner and a downstairs bedroom with en suite shower with M1 status. The cottage is popular with those looking for some quiet space - perhaps you have a new born baby, or are studying for exams. There is a separate washing and drying area.
First Floor Description
On the first floor at Monnington House there are 4 huge bedrooms each with their own bathroom which includes a bathtub and separate shower cubicle. The beds are all superking and high quality and are supplied with 400 count egyptian linen. In the cottage there are 2 spacious bedrooms again with superking beds and the same high quality egyptian linen. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and the other has a bathroom adjacent.
Second Floor Description
On the second floor in Monnington House there are 2 spacious bedrooms. The same high quality beds are supplied so no one feels like they have the 'dud' room and one has en suite bathroom and the other has a bathroom adjacent.
Window Views Description
You will look over the large garden, paddocks and playing field. You will see cider orchards in one direction and look at sheep grazing in the fields. In this distance you will enjoy rural views of the Wye Valley.
