The cottage is one of just three, high quality, dog friendly cottages at Nutcombe Holiday Cottages., delightfully located on the Edge of Exmoor National Park on the outskirts of beautiful coastal village of Combe Martin in North Devon.
Open all year round it makes the ideal base for family holidays or couples and for short breaks (October - May Half Term) whatever the season. The three Grade II listed, bank barn conversions have been lovingly renovated whilst retaining many of the original features with exposed beams, English oak flooring, original stonework, granite worktops and limestone shower rooms. Each of the cottages has its own south facing sun terrace or garden with ample off-road parking. Conveniently, there is also a separate dog garden and three-acre field.

Outside Description
The Cider House has it's own enclosed, south facing, sun terrace accessed through the French Doors in the second bedroom. The terrace is equipped with a dining area with parasol as well as two sun loungers so you can sit and relax and admire the view with a glass or two. Just 20 feet from the front door, visitors to Cider House also have use of our large grassed area where we allow dogs to be exercised as well as our 3 acre field.
Downstairs Description
Being a bank barn conversion, the bedrooms at Cider house are located on the lower ground floor. In the small hallway there is a washer/dryer located in the cupboard under the stairs, The master bedroom has a king size wrought iron bed with solid oak wardrobe and bedside cabinets with lovely views out over the terrace to the hills beyond. The convenient en-suite has a full size bath with overhead shower, washbasin and loo so perfect for long soaks to unwind. The second bedroom is set up as a single room with a pull out full size trundle bed. As a single it makes the perfect property for small families or people wanting to bring a parent along for a break. If there are two children, we pop the trundle bed up next to the single to create a small twin room, with solid oak wardrobe and bedside cabinet. There is access onto the sun terrace from this room through French doors. Again, conveniently there is an en-suite limestone shower room, with large walk in shower, with rainfall head and massage jet system; perfect for an invigorating shower in the mornings.
First Floor Description
Access to The Cider House is from the rear of the property at first floor level into the open plan living area. There is a beautiful pale blue kitchen with granite worktops with a central island housing a sink and dishwasher. There is an electric oven with ceramic hob; perfect for cosy dinners in, a microwave and everything you need for a stress free self catering holiday. The dining area off the kitchen has a round table and four chairs and a large Smeg fridge/freezer so plenty of space to store all your fresh food. The lounge is cosy with pale blue Laura Ashley sofa and two armchairs with solid oak furniture, large flat screen TV with Freesat offering over 200 channels as well as access to your own Netflix account through the Humax box. There are stunning views from the lounge window out across the gardens to the valley opposite.
Window Views Description
The views from the south facing windows in the lounge and bedrooms are stunning across the gardens and pond to the hills beyond. Great to watch the buzzards s soaring high in the sky, the sheep in the fields or the rabbits and foxes playing.
