The garden is equally idyllic in the winter; watch, from the cosy cottage, the free range chickens roam with wild pheasants and rabbits in the frost-tipped grass, use the hot tub all year round for an extra-special holiday. When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into a spacious sitting room with three large sofas, the fireplace houses a toasty wood burner for cosy evenings playing games or curling up in front of the smart TV. Walk through to the open-plan kitchen/diner which boasts a fitted kitchen equipped with everything you need for the perfect self-catered getaway including a dishwasher as well as a rustic dining table where you can catch-up over a home cooked meal. Enjoy a breakfast of fresh eggs in the adjoining garden room with beautiful views across the pool and garden. Climb the quaint cottage stairs to the first floor where you’ll find two bedrooms with plenty of storage and a generous family bathroom and notice the peace and quiet of the countryside. The bathroom has luxurious under floor heating, a fitted bath and a large walk-in shower cubicle so you can relax in a way that suits you. The super-king-size bed can be transformed into two comfy single beds upon request and, with an extra single bed available, five people can easily be accommodated upstairs. There is also a sofa bed downstairs although maximum occupancy at the property is five. There is plenty of off-road parking make this the ideal place for family get-togethers. Plenty of public footpaths give you the opportunity to explore the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside from your doorstep or take a short drive to one of the fantastic local country parks. Cycling is popular in the area, try a trail starting at Doddington Hall then enjoy a cup of tea and some famous Lincolnshire plum bread in the cafe before stocking up at the farm shop. Discover pubs in the surrounding villages for some delicious meals out or try locally brewed beer and even artisan bread baked to order, the Dambusters at nearby Scampton is filled with RAF memorabilia from the Second World War. Explore more local history in Lincoln at The Collection and Museum of Lincolnshire Life or wander through the historic streets and take in the remains of a Roman arch, the eleventh century cathedral and castle, and the remarkable twelfth century buildings lining Steep Hill, many of which now house independent shops and tearooms.
