Hidden away amongst the bends of the River Torridge and amongst nature, you will find Ridd Cottage. Sitting on a spectacularly private site boasting copious amounts of space and private parking for 4 plus cars. This tranquil cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Its peaceful presence along the river, gives the wonderful setting for days of fun with family and friends, late afternoon tea and ideal dinner settings.
From just stepping out your door you can kayak, paddle board & canoe along the river. We also have the famous Tarka bike trail with 30 miles of uninterrupted nature on our doorstep.
This idyllic cottage provides 3 luxury double bedrooms with 2 of them using ensuite bathrooms, one of the double bedrooms has its own private access to the outdoors, perfect for the early risers! One single bedroom with a Jack and Jill bed (sleeping 2 guests) and a family bathroom. A spacious and luxurious open plan, fully equipped kitchen and dining area which really is the hub of the home and a warm and cosy lounge accompanied with a real log burning fire, it’s the perfect place to sit back, relax and look out to the river. Situated above the kitchen is a mezzanine floor also known as the “snug” This gives the perfect opportunity to sit on a comfy beanbags, read, play a board game, just enjoy some quiet time. This area also creates a great “den” like area for kids of all ages!
As the winter nights draw in early, why not light up the burning fire and sit in the cosy but spacious lounge, or sit in the snug above the kitchen and play a board game or two?
On warmer days, why not fire up the barbecue in the garden overlooking the river followed by a dip in the bubbling hot tub

Downstairs Description
Here we have three of the newly furnished cosy bedrooms, which boast stunning views of the river. One room has an en-suite and a private door heading out to the garden, the family bathroom with a bathtub is situated just along the corridor. In the centre we have the living room with a fireplace for the those early winter nights, and the large windows are perfect for watching the sun settle over the horizon in the summer.
First Floor Description
On the first floor we have our open plan luxury dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is perfectly kitted out with everything you may need for hosting glorious dinner parties for your family and friends. Around each window you have have a seat where you can read or watch the river go by in the mornings. Also upstairs, we have the spacious master bedroom with an ensuite and views over the countryside.
Second Floor Description
This small second floor is the perfect place for your games evening, here we have the mezzanine area over the kitchen. A great space for yoga in the morning or being able to keep an eye on the kids playing games whilst you have your morning coffee. It has a host of games for adults to!
Window Views Description
From each window you will have a uninterrupted, stunning view of the river and the horizon beyond it. A perfect place to watch each sunrise and sunset.
