Accommodation at a Glance
The house has a large farmhouse kitchen with an Aga and open fires in each of the sitting rooms. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 with en-suite bathrooms, 2 king-sized doubles and 2 twins. There is an additional large family bathroom with shower and roll top free standing bath.
Rowling End has two separate sitting rooms, both with open fires, logs supplied and TV & DVD players. Free WiFi is provided.
The kitchen/dining room is equipped with an oil-fuelled Aga; an electric oven and hob; American- style fridge freezer; dishwasher; microwave and a large family dining table.
There is a drying room/utility room for outdoor gear, also with a washer/dryer and a further cloak room with WC and wash basin.
Outside the cottage there is a storage shed for the logs, which are supplied and a storage shed for bikes.

Outside Description
Outstanding views from the house Direct access to the fells and some of Wainwrights favourite walks – including Catbells, the Newlands Round, the Coledale Round Newlands Beck runs through the fields below the house. The fields are home to a huge variety of wildlife including deer and buzzards Rock climbing, water sports, mountain biking nearby Keswick within walking distance (via the Keswick launch from Hawes End)

The bath is over a hundred years old and was formerly in a country house in Norfolk which regularly hosted Winston Churchill; the taps are of a similar age and were originally from the Basil Street Hotel in Knightsbridge
