Couples are going to love this place. The perfect blend of rustic style and a place where memories are made.
Warm and cosy with homely Aga in one end and wood burner in the other, the cottage is surprisingly spacious with the lounge and kitchen linked together. Upstairs there’s a huge bedroom with superking size four poster bed, changing room and beautiful bathroom with double ended roll top bath & separate shower. There’s also a small child’s room, just large enough for a travel cot or z-bed.
Return from the nearby pub and try the outdoor roll top cast iron bath in the walled garden, a quirky version of a hot tub! Piping hot water on tap, fill with bubbles and enjoy a soak under the stars. Help yourself to the honesty bar and enjoy the locally made treats in the complimentary Champagne welcome hamper.
This is a great place to relax, explore the amazing surroundings, or take part in a range of adventure activities.
Shepherd’s Cottage is one of just three luxury cottages at A Corner of Eden. Stunning self-catering holiday cottages in a beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Cumbria and just a short drive from the Lake District.
Group Bookings - A Corner of Eden is the perfect place for a large group get together. The Farmhouse sleeps 8, Angel Barn sleeps 6 and the Shepherd’s Cottage is a cosy retreat for 2 – up to 16 guests can escape to the peace and quiet of the countryside.
You'll find maps with walking routes highlighted, on the many quiet footpaths that surround Angel Barn. Take a hike up Wild Boar Fell, the nearest mountain at 2,323ft, the Pennine Bridleway starts just up the lane and makes an easy to follow path up to the top.
Or wander into the nearby village of Ravenstonedale, just 2.5 mies away, with 2 fabulous pubs to choose from. If that seems too far, then there's the Fat Lamb Inn just 5 fields away serving homely pub food. All 3 pubs are dog friendly, so no need for your furry friend to miss out.
Keep an eye out for the local red squirrels, they can often be seen bobbing along the wall tops or at the feeders outside the Shepherd's Cottage.
