Delightfully located in the stunning Howgill Fells St Marks is fabulously inspired way to stay, connect and be part of our home away from home. The home is full of character and is spacious and welcoming. The house can comfortably sleep 16 guests in 8 bedrooms. 5 en-suite bedrooms are on the first floor; four being spacious twin or double rooms and one having a triple bunkbed. There are 3 further bedrooms on the top floor, one being a large twin or double en-suite room, and two further double rooms that share a private bathroom. All bedrooms have stunning views of the surrounding countryside .
A superb kitchen, two lounges and a large dining room that can seat up to 14 people make the house the perfect venue to host a celebration or special occasion.
Damian and Joanne can organise everything for you as your live-in hosts. “We live in the huge property but have our private living area tucked away at the end of the house. We are uniquely on hand throughout your stay to help in any way, but don't worry as we are friendly people and give our guests space as needed”.
If walking, cycling, climbing rock your boat then the stunning Howgill Fells, Yorkshire Dales or Lake District are the perfect playground for these activities and much more.
To be honest, the view of the Howgill Fells from the back of the garden is the thing people love the most. The large garden is suitable for children and dogs and we have outdoor seating, BBQ and fire pit for you to enjoy. There is even a tree rope swing and walks direct from the door in to the hills.
Comprises of two lounges, a dining room, kitchen, downstairs toilet and even a studio space for creative, business, or wellbeing retreats. The two lounges have real wood burning fires. The kitchen is fully equipped with access to a herb & spice drawer, oils for cooking and tea and coffee. As this is our home there are films, cds and board games for guests to play and plenty of magazines and books to read. The studio space has been used for art courses, photography tuition, yoga retreats and even a belly dancing hen party. At the end of the house next to the studio is our private living area where we have our own living room, kitchen and bedroom.St Marks Stays is our home so you will see us around but of course we give you your own space and privacy. We want people to fully enjoy the house and we certainly do not stop you having a great time here.
First Floor Description
Five ensuite bedrooms are on the first floor and are accessible from the wide staircase. We have four rooms where the beds can either be twin beds, or attached to make double beds. The fifth room has a bunkbed in for the more fun-loving of you. It is a double bed on the bottom and a single on top. All rooms have bedding and towels.
Second Floor and Above Description
There are 3 further bedrooms on the top floor accessible from a secluded staircase. One large en-suite room can be either single or attached double, and the two further rooms are doubles that share a private bathroom.
Window Views Description
All countryside views of either the hills or the garden. We are very lucky to be in this location.
