Stone Barn is one of four cottages from Exmoor Character Cottages. Each of the luxury holiday cottages in Minehead and Dunster in Somerset, boast their own unique look and feel. You can be assured that high-quality finishes, fabrics, furnishings and comfort are consistent throughout all properties.
Perfect for Families and Group Accommodation
Our homes each sleep between six and eight people. This makes them ideal for families or groups of adults. In Minehead, Pilgrim Corner, The Old Sweet Shop and Stone Barn are next-door neighbours. This makes these perfect destinations for even larger groups of adults, as well as special life anniversaries and celebrations.

Outside Description
Outside you'll find a lovely enclosed garden with lawn, well stocked borders and a seating area. There's a withy screen hiding the hot tub which will seat six. It faces St. Michael's Church, which is lovely at night when floodlit and you're sat out under the stars. Exmoor is a dark sky reserve so you'll see many constellations.
There's on site parking for one car at Stone Barn, and more on Moor Road, a 1-minute walk away.
Downstairs Description
Stone Barn is an upside down house, designed to maximise the views to Exmoor from the top floor. So when you arrive, you'll enter at the first floor level. Downstairs you will find two spacious en-suite bedrooms. Pineapple can be configured as a Superking or twin, you just tell us and we'll do the rest. There's a shower room here too. Disney is a king with a bath in the en-suite. All bedrooms come with lovely soft bath sheets, hand towels and toiletries. Our Hypnos mattresses are high quality and hotel standard to guarantee you a very comfortable night's sleep. There's also a utility area on this floor, with a washing machine, tumble drier and supplies for dogs as well as the vacuum cleaner - all under the stairs. Book buffs can choose a volume from the bookcase in the hall.
First Floor Description
Enter through our front door (remembering to duck), and you're in a sociable, open-plan living, dining and cooking area perfectly suited to friends and families. This light, airy living space is architect designed to make the most of the high ceiling and the distant views out to Exmoor. The kitchen features two Neff 'slide and hide' ovens, a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The induction hob adds to the slick, modern design of this cool space. The dining table seats six and can be extended for special occasions.
In the living space you'll find a very comfy corner sofa and a media unit with 55" UHD TV, Sky and Netflix. There's fast broadband as you'd expect. There's one bedroom on this floor, a double bedroom we call 'The Snug'. It's right next door to the top floor bathroom with shower, WC and basin, which is sat on our feature pedestal made from original oak beams from the barn.,
