If you are looking for a venue to take a holiday, short break or to celebrate a special occasion with family and friends Merrieweathers ticks all the boxes. The accommodation consists of The Stables, sleeping 8 in 4 bedrooms and the Hayloft, sleeping a further 8; together the properties offer over 5,500 sq ft of spacious and luxurious accommodation for large gatherings.
Situated in 50 acres of gorgeous gardens, fields, woodland and lakes the house is ideally located only an hour and a half or so from central London.
As well as luxurious accommodation there is a superb range of facilities including a private pub (with a full range of pub games including pool and football table, darts, bar billiards), a cinema screen (over 6000 films on server), a small lake for fishing or boating, ball games/croquet on the lawn, tennis court, table tennis, walks (AONB),and picnics on the estate, an outdoor kitchen for barbecuing. Use of the Manor House outdoor heated swimming pool (100 yards from the Stables, April-Oct).
The Great Hall is 50 feet long and a fantastic space for entertaining. The room has three distinct areas: dining (table seats 16), sitting (with drinks cabinet and large sofas) and entertainment (with cinema screen and grand piano).
Merrieweathers has its own private pub in a detached barn. The fully equipped bar has optics and beer pumps. Games include darts, table football, pool, bar billiards. There is also a cinema screen for your entertainment.
Merrieweathers is suitable for extended families and friends and can arrange catering, beauty treatments and clay pigeon shooting on the estate.

Outside Description
Surrounded by countryside (AONB)there is plenty to do at Merrieweathers: table tennis area, outdoor draughts, lawn for ball games, lake for fishing and boating, fields and woodland for walking, swimming, tennis and a games lodge with all manner of indoor pub games. The inner courtyard at the Stables has an outdoor kitchen with charcoal barbecue, gas barbecue (for vegetarian cooking) work surfaces and sink. Al fresco dining with teak tables and chairs, and planters of lavender, slate paving and a gravel sunken area. with benches and sun loungers. The courtyard is edged with mature trees and is a great outdoor entertaining space. A short walk from the Stables, through the walled kitchen garden, is the games lodge/private pub. This is fabulous space for gathering and having some fun. The games lodge is fondly known as 'The Cock and Bull pub' and includes a bar area (complete with pumps and optics) a pool table, bar billiards table, table football, darts and a cinema screen where you can watch films or our favourite sport on TV. It really is your own private pub in the garden, simply bring your own drinks and we'll supply the glasses! The manor house swimming pool is also for your sole use and is heated and available between April-October, 9 am-6 pm. On-site is a tennis court and from your doorstep are miles of public footpaths with scenic country walks. We can also arrange clay pigeon shooting on the estate.
Downstairs Description
The Stables provides luxurious accommodation including a magnificent living/dining room 50 ft long with grand piano, cinema screen, large sofas and arm chairs and a dining table to seat 16. Bright and spacious with french doors. leading out onto the inner courtyard. The kitchen/breakfast room is large and fully equipped, perfect for catering for large groups, including three different ways of cooking: an Aga, a gas hob and an induction hob. A separate lounge has a large TV screen and comfy sofas, with a log fire which provides a welcome feature in the winter months. The other wing of the ground floor houses two bedrooms with ensuites . The Orchid Suite is calmly decorated with high ceilings and hanging lotus flower lights. The stunning ensuite has a one person jacuzzi bath to soak and relax and a walk in shower plus 'his and hers' basins. The Delphinium Suite is a romantic double room with chandelier and beams complete with ensuite shower room.
First Floor Description
The first floor is on one wing of the Stables which used to be the old coach house. There are two large family sized bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms. The Cornflower Suite has a king size bed, a single sofa bed and the bathroom includes a walk in shower and a bath tub. The French Rose Suite has a superking size bed and a single sofa bed. The ensuite has a french antique washstand and mirror, a ball and claw iron bath and a walk in shower. Both bedrooms have mahogony flooring.
Opposite the Stables is the Hayloft which is all on first floor level- reached via an internal staircase. This provides separate accommodation including a spacious and bright open plan living/dining room, a kitchen, two ensuite bedrooms, and a separate shower room. The 7th bedroom is open plan on the mezzanine level with a further double bed one side and two single beds the other (these spaces are screened but due to being open planned over the living area are not suitable for young children).
Window Views Description
The ground floor of The Stables has views of the central courtyard which is planted with boxes of lavender and has teak furniture for al fresco dining. Slate steps with colourful uplighters lead down to the outdoor kitchen, with mature trees edging the area. Every room on the ground floor has at least one door which opens out onto the inner courtyard. The front of the property has views of a delightful little herb bed area with table and chairs, a koi pond, an outdoor draughts area and table tennis area. The Hayloft and an old barn is directly opposite. The Stable and Hayloft are nestled at the bottom of a valley on a 50 acre estate and they are reached by a woodland drive and rolling fields. The Hayloft has views to the front of the Stables and the estate beyond, including Merrieweathers manor house.
