The original oak frame of the Barn has been retained, and there are oak floors and joinery throughout. Bombers is ideal for visiting the historic towns of this region such as Westerham, Penshurst, Sevenoaks, Greenwich, Chatham, Rochester and Tunbridge Wells. Some of the finest National Trust Properties in the country are also close by - Knole House, Penshurst Place, Chartwell, Ightham Mote, Eltham Palace, Sissinghurst and Hever are all within 30 minutes drive. The coastal attractions of towns such as Brighton, Rye and Eastbourne are little more than an hour's drive away, as is Canterbury.
The Barn is situated in open country within the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet it is only 14 miles south of the City of London. The Barn forms part of the ancient farmyard, access to which is via a secure gate. There is ample parking in front of the Barn. Guests are invited to visit he owners extensive gardens although theBarn has its own garden to the rear.
