The spacious outside decking area is accessed from french windows from the downstairs bedroom and the sitting room area. There is a wooden bench and coffee table along with a larger table and chairs near the barbecue area.
The Byre was, as the name suggests, an old cow barn, lovingly restored to provide a double height, oak beamed living area with flagstone floor and underfloor heating so you can kick off your shoes as you enter across the decking through the french windows. The open plan area accommodates a sitting area in front of a wood burning stove with armchairs and sofa, where you can admire the views across the decking and lavender garden to the Brecon Beacons beyond. There is a dining table and a small but efficient kitchen fitted with a fridge/freezer, oven/grill, microwave oven/oven/grill, induction hob, washing machine, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. The water comes from our own bore hole and is on a par with the best bottled water.
Three wide steps lead down to a large flagstoned, super-king bedroom which can be adapted for two single beds with the option of adding an extra single bed (extra cost). The bedroom has a french window leading out onto the decking and affording views to the Brecon Beacons.
The adjacent bathroom has a slipper bath, walk in shower, basin and loo. Toiletries and towels are provided.
