If you are looking for a holiday cottage to rent which is as close to the sea as you can possibly get without getting wet we think we may have found it. Totally unique beach fronted holiday cottage has been transformed from its historic past to a welcoming holiday home for 4 guests.
With uninterrupted, panoramic views across the estuary and out to sea this is a place to relax for families, couples and friends. Perfect for your next coastal holiday or special break the cottage is light and cosy. Many character touches such as the original pitch-pine flooring have been retained. The cottage has one double bedroom with a king-size bed. This bedroom has patio style double doors with a juliette balcony, which overlooks the sea. Off this bedroom is a lovely, fully tiled, wet room with toilet and washbasin.
The living area again with estuary views is comfortably furnished with a leather double sofa-bed for additional guests. There is a quality hand-crafted kitchen that has everything you could need during your stay.
Aberdovey is a wonderful place to stay at any time of the year with the summer months transforming it to a vibrant sea-side village, with families enjoying traditional holidays of sand castles and locally-made ice-creams. Those in between months being more tranquil, with couples taking pleasure in the beautiful Snowdonia mountains and coast. Whatever time of the year you visit we think you will be glad you did.

Outside Description
The bay window patio doors from the sitting room open onto an inviting slate tiled patio garden on top of the sea wall, protected from the sea winds by glass balustrading. This gives uninterrupted views of the Dyfi estuary, looking out to sea, across to Ynyslas (Blue Island) and inland to the mountains.
The estuary and sea view is ever-changing with the tides, the wildlife, sometimes Otters, Seals and Dolphins.
Downstairs Description
The Old Lifeboat House is all on one floor level and sleeps up to four people in one bedroom with a king size bed and a double sofabed in the sitting room for additional guests. The cottage is comfortable, light with original pitch pine flooring.
Windows along the sea-side wall give near 180 degree, mesmerising views of everything from the never-ending tidal changes, the antics of the Outward Bound students, to the vast variety of coastal wildlife going about their daily business.
The sitting room has high ceilings dating back the when Aberdovey's first lifeboat sat within it's walls and now offers a comfortable area to relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the expansive bay window with doors to the patio.
A well equipped and open kitchen houses hand-crafted units beneath granite worktops, however you may get too distracted to prepare meals due to the windows along the sea-side wall.
The bedroom has patio style double doors with a juliette balcony overlooking the sea and giving a fascinating way to wake up in the morning with waves lapping by your bed-side. Off this bedroom is a lovely, fully tiled, wet room with toilet and washbasin.
