The Red Barn at Venn Farm is a stylish and contemporary yet family-friendly conversion. Sleeping up to 4 + cot The barn is perfect for a family holiday. With light and airy living space and rural views the property has everything you could possibly need during your stay. There are two good sized bedrooms one twin, one double, fully equipped kitchen and dining area and outside has its own private deck overlooking a very large garden and tree-lined fields.
Guests are encouraged to collect eggs from the free range hens.
The Red Barn is one of just two superb holiday barns to rent at Venn Farm. Delightfully situated in a beautifully peaceful seven-acre small holding just four miles from Bude and the stunning north Cornwall beaches the properties make the ideal base for a holiday or special break.
Both barns are adjacent to each other and connected by a gate in the garden should you want to rent both of them for larger parties.
WHAT WE LOVE...
The decor is fun and fresh, with patterned wallpaper, Orla Kiely cushions, bright striped deckchairs in the garden and exposed beams
While it’s very light and airy, there are blackout blinds for those who need to sleep.
The lounge is on the upper level, open plan to the kitchen and leading to a deck and the lawned garden. It has great views of the countryside
The large bathroom has a shower and bath tub
There’s great provision for kids, with toys and DVDs, a trampoline, a treehouse in the woods to explore, chickens to pet/chase, surfboards and bodyboards to borrow and plenty of space to run about.
It's right on the Devon/Cornwall border, near the famous north Cornwall surf beaches, Bude, Croyde and Woolacombe. Other nearby spots include The Eden Project, The Minack Theatre, Clovelly and Port Isaac
There’s plenty of outdoor space, with a very lawned garden with soccer nets, and there are great views of the surrounding countryside from the upper storey. It's a lovely space and great location for a family vacation, near north Cornwall beaches and north Devon attractions. Guests have direct access too the chickens and to a football area. There is also a trampoline to use.
Nestled within 7 acres of rural farmland, 2 stylish barns (The Red Barn and the Cob) sit side by side, but are cleverly angled to feel private. Red Barn is arranged upside down, with bedrooms at the bottom and a loft-style, upper-floor living space, accessed via an enormous lawned garden. The kitchen is at one end; 2 comfy sofas and a wood-burning stove at the other. In the middle, there’s a dining table and 4 chairs, a line of neat shelving, stocked with books, games, DVDs, a picnic set and blanket. Thoughtful extras include an iPod dock, barbecue, boules and garden furniture.
First Floor Description
A staircase drops to the ground floor where there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The pretty double has an antique chest of drawers and a wall of printed wallpaper. Dual-aspect bedroom 2 is designed for children, with a navy-and-white seaside theme. The contemporary bathroom (brick tiles, tongue and groove) has a shower over a panelled tub, and REN toiletries are provided.
