Beautifully refurbished this gorgeous flint cottage offers superb views across the marshes in the delightful village of Salthouse. Perfect for a coastal holiday or family break at any time of the year the property can accommodate 2 – 8 guests, with three bedrooms in the main house sleeping 6, and a one-bedroom annexe outside sleeping 2, which can be rented for an additional sum. With a bedroom and bathroom downstairs Well Cottage is great for multi-generational families where stairs may be a challenge.
Well Cottage has been furnished and decorated to a high standard and has a fully equipped kitchen for the chef in the party. If your prefer to dine out there is a seafood cafe and great pub within walking distance.
There is a large garden at the rear of the cottage with outside seating and views across the marsh and out to sea. There is private parking in the grounds of the cottage for two cars. The cottage is located up a quiet lane away from the main coast road, making it a relaxing and peaceful base to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The local shop, café and pub are all within walking distance.
Duck Cottage Annexe is in the grounds of Well Cottage and offers accommodation for 2 further guests. It offers a Kitchen/diner/living area with sofa, cooker, fridge, microwave and wood burner. Bedroom 1 with king sized bed and drawers. Bathroom with walk in shower, WC and hand basin. There is underfloor heating throughout. NB. Duck Cottage is not rented out separately to Well Cottage.
The large, airy kitchen/dining area has the benefit of full glass folding doors which lead out on to the garden, making it a perfect summer retreat. There is comfortable seating for 6/8 guests around a large table, a gas range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, and with the added luxury of underfloor heating.
The sitting room with plenty of comfy seating, a wood burner with a supply of logs, a large flat screen TV with Freesat, a DVD player, DVDs, games and under floor heating. In the winter, there’s nothing more relaxing than snuggling up on one of the comfy sofas in front of the wood burner with a glass of wine and good book.
There is a twin bedded room with 2ft 6" beds and wardrobe on the ground floor, and a bathroom with walk in shower, period style WC, basin and heated towel rail, providing good access for those guests who may find stairs a challenge.
First Floor Description
The upstairs sleeps a further 4 guests in two beautifully furnished king sized bedrooms, with bedside tables, and wardrobes. There is also a bathroom with underfloor heating, roll top bath, overhead shower, heated towel rail, sink and WC.
Window Views Description
The bifold doors from the kitchen look out onto the private rear garden with flower beds, lawn and outside seating. There are views across the marsh and out to sea from the main bedroom.
