Wolfen Mill is a former water powered mill built in the sixteenth Century, set in one acre of fabulous grounds just a short distance from the Lancashire village of Chipping, an area renowned for its abundance of Gastro Pubs. Historically the mill made spindles and bobbins for the local spinning mills, closing production in the 1920’s. Completely renovated in 2018 the mill provides first class, award winning holiday accommodation, ideal for large groups looking to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful haven. The dam or millrace provides a beautiful wildlife haven and the views of ‘Parlick Pike’ provide a great backdrop to this wonderful holiday retreat, sadly the old water wheel is no longer present.
Providing spacious accommodation, the top floor sitting room offers the centrepiece of the building, with bi-fold doors opening out onto the decked area overlooking the mill dam, a wonderful place to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings and watch the sun go down. The ground floor dining room provides a great place for the group to get together, enjoy a few early drinks on the adjoining patio and garden area whilst the ‘chefs’ start getting together their culinary delights in the commercial kitchen. There are a further two kitchens available on this floor, one for each course perhaps or to allow a few more gourmet cooks their own working space. All the bedrooms are set up as separate suites providing guests with their own personal sitting areas, luxurious bedroom, kitchen and modern ensuite bathroom. Ideal for those wishing to spend a little time away from the main group to relax and unwind in their own luxurious space.
