If you are looking for a holiday or special break in Suffolk the Woodcutter’s Lodge may well be the perfect choice. This fabulous newly-built property is delightfully situated within its own plot on the edge of the Suffolk village of Holbrook. The property can accommodate up to 6 guests in total comfort and is ideal for families and friends. This countryside retreat with beautiful contemporary interiors is presented to the highest standards and is situated between the River Orwell and the River Stour and is a stone’s throw from 400 acre Alton Water. There is a large parking area (electric charging point) and the property is all on one level.
The property has a light and luxurious open-plan living and dining area, fully equipped with home-from-home comforts and amenities. The two bedrooms with soft-toned decor have sumptuous king-size beds, one with its own en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is next to a large bathroom, complete with a shower and bath. A comfortable double sofa bed accommodates two further guests in the living area. The large open-plan living and dining area opens out onto a south-facing patio.
Woodcutter’s Lodge is close to the River Orwell and just a stone’s throw away from Alton Water, which ranges across nature trails, cycling routes (bike hire available), fishing spots, dinghy sailing and paddle boarding. Footpaths from the property will take you to the east side of Alton Water within 15 minutes. Pack a picnic and spend the day relaxing on the water’s edge, taking in the beautiful scenery, or for the more enthusiastic, you can walk the circular 10-kilometre route in its entirety.
