River Nene Cottages are part of Mill House, Water Newton which is situated on the banks of the River Nene at Water Newton Lock, number 29 on the River Nene waterway.
The cottages provide first-class accommodation and large grounds which include a seasonally heated outdoor swimming pool, a wedding marquee area and large riverside lawns that overlook Water Newton Lock which sees many traditional canal longboats and other pleasure craft during the boating season.
Yew Tree Cottage is part of an old converted stone barn built in 1805. It is part of the grounds of Mill House within which is the guest swimming pool and beautiful gardens to which guests have access. The 1 acre garden has approximately 100 meters of river frontage of The River Nene at Water Newton Lock where you can watch various canal boats pass through and where we have fishing rights for any avid fishermen to try their skills.
Sitting in the garden, looking out over the river and taking in some truly amazing sunsets, sipping on a refreshing G&T is a very welcome way in which to spend a warm summer's evening.
