Henllys Lodge is delightfully situated close to Llandovery in Carmarthenshire, known as ‘the Garden of Wales’, on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, an area of special landscape, wildlife and cultural heritage, and recently designated an International Dark Sky Reserve. This part of Wales is perfect for lovers of the great outdoors with so much to see and do including: walking, bird-watching, cycling, mountain-biking, and other outdoor pursuits, or alternatively visiting local castles, gardens, woodlands, nature reserves, houses and sites of historic interest.

Outside Description
The garden wraps around the house. From the kitchen there is a Welsh slate tiled patio with garden furniture and a large lawn leading down to a pond, teeming with wildlife including newts, frogs, dragon-flies and fish. We have a bird feeder and supply nuts and seeds so you can watch the varieties of birds including nuthutches, tits, chaffinches, and woodpeckers. You often see red kites and buzzards overhead.
An annexe adjoins the property which has a washing machine and condenser dryer for guest use.
Downstairs Description
From the front door you enter a matted lobby where you can leave coats, boots etc. The downstairs is open plan with oak floorboards. From there to the right is a downstairs WC and then you come to the large and well-equipped kitchen which has a dining area for 8 people. There is a Rangemaster cooker, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and all the dining cooking utensils you will need. Leading off the kitchen is a living room with a wood-burning stove in the centre, cosy for the colder months. It has a TV area and table football. There are lots of games, books, information guides and music centre.
First Floor Description
There are four bedrooms: three double rooms and a fourth bunk-bedded room with full single sized beds. Two of the double bedrooms have ensuite mosaic-tiled wetrooms. There is a family bathroom also.
Window Views Description
From the back of the house there is a view across to the hills beyond. The house is not overlooked and for the sole enjoyment of residents.
