This unique retreat offers the best of Highland luxury for just two guests. Located on the shores of Loch Eriboll in North-West Sutherland, Hill Cottage is set in an area of unparalleled natural beauty.
The centre-piece of Hill Cottage’s bedroom is the magnificent bespoke 7ft feather-topped bed made of lacquered steel and leather with contrasting fresh, premium linens. From the Caithness stone lined walk in shower to the ceramic tiles behind the sink and locally milled Douglas fir beams, the whole place is sustainably thought out and stunningly presented. Powered by a windmill on-site and insulated with recycled sheep wool and tyre bales this place is essentially ‘carbon negative’.
For the ultimate relaxation station, there are two grand baths – both designed to accommodate two people – one of which is outdoors on the secluded patio area overlooking the loch.
The spacious lounge and dining area includes beautifully upholstered furniture and floor coverings in world-famous Anta tweed and a specially commissioned dining table. Effortlessly combining traditional and contemporary, Hill Cottage offers a wood-burning stove, a state-of-the-art home entertainment system and a fully equipped kitchen for foodie types.
