Whitehall Dairy - Stunning holiday property to rent in Wales
Delightfully situated on a hill just inside Wales, a couple of miles from Montgomery, overlooking the mountains of Snowdonia you will find Whitehall Dairy. Beautifully converted and fully refurbished the property offers 5 bedroom luxury self-catering accommodation. Sleeping up to 10 guests in total comfort the property is ideal for holidays and special break for families and friends.
Three rooms are king size and ensuite, and the other two are super king size beds one of which can be split into two singles. One bedroom is suitable for wheelchair users with a large accessible shower and step-free access.
The main living space is all open plan with a large kitchen, dining room and wood-burning stove on one level and then stepping down into the old covered feeding area for cattle which is now the main lounge, which has bi-folding doors and large picture windows with far reaching views over Wales - Snowdon and Cadair Idris are visible on most days.
Outside there is a two level garden, seating, grassed area and patio dining area with built-in charcoal barbecue. The top level of the garden has a wood fired Scandinavian hot tub with lighting and bubble jets to relax in whilst taking in the view.

Outside Description
When you arrive slide back the large gate and you can park five cars in the driveway. It’s step-free from there into the house. The gardens consist mature trees, borders, grass area and a two-level patio. On the top level is the hot tub with views out across north west Wales, on the lower level there’s a barbecue and grass area for a game of badminton. If you want to get away from the garden sports, take a seat under the large oak and horse chestnut trees. With the gate shut the garden is dog-proof so you don’t need to worry about the pooch!
Downstairs Description
The main living space is all open plan with a large kitchen, dining room and wood-burning stove on one level and then stepping down into the old covered feeding area for cattle which is now the main lounge, which has bi-folding doors and large picture windows with far reaching views over Wales - Snowdon and Cadair Idris are visible on most days. The lounge is the old feed trough and feeding area of the Dairy where the cattle used to come in to be fed. We spent many hours with a glass of wine looking at the view and figuring out how we’d convert it. Now you can sit with a glass of wine with the same view, even when it’s cold! We turned the feed trough into a long seating area, with strategically placed “gin tables”, and filled it with cushions. Folding doors open out onto the lower patio area for when the weather is good, but rain or shine, it’s a beautiful place to be. We opened up part of the barn so that the dining area is double height with a large slice of glass running through the roof bringing in daylight and stunning sunsets. From the dining area you can go into the ground floor bedroom which is step-free from the parking area, or up the custom-made staircase to the hayloft bedroom, or down to the lounge area. There’s also a seating area around the fire. The dining table easily seats ten for dinner or playing games in the evening by the fire. Between the kitchen and dining area is a large bar area to sit with a G&T giving the chef moral support! The kitchen has lots of work space, range cooker, microwave, double sink fridge/freezer and dedicated drinks fridge.
First Floor Description
Spacious king size or super king size bedrooms, each with their own little bits of quirkiness and interest. Above the entrance hall is a quieter area to look out at the views or read a book.
Window Views Description
Every room has an amazing views out across the hills of mid-Wales to the mountains of Snowdonia.
