Winnow Nook is one of three luxury barns at Damgate Farm in the Peak District. Perfect for a romantic break for two this is an idyllic base for a couple looking to explore the Peak District together. The property is charming and full of character and the four-poster bedroom with its roll top bath, exposed beams and mellow lime plaster walls only add to its charm.
The barn has a feeling of space with an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area. There is a fully equipped country kitchen ideal for those looking to dine in or there are a great choice of restaurants and pubs nearby. Outside there is a sitting area with patio furniture exclusively for you. Perfect for al fresco dining and drinks on the terrace.
Groups are more than welcome and if all three barns are booked together Winnow Barns can accommodate up 14 guests.
Winnow Barns are located in a beautiful hamlet in the Peak District. This is a walker’s heaven with scenic walks from your doorstep. The nearby village of Hartington has a village store, post office and farm shop as well as cafes and pubs as well. The well know towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell are a short drive away.
Winnow Nook has its own little patio area with table and chairs surrounded by planters, perfect for al fresco drinks in the terrace in the sunshine. You are very welcome to wander around the farm and enjoy a glass of wine in ‘top field’ whilst watching the sunset.....
One stone step up into... the stylish open plan kitchen/dining/ living area. A high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and mellow lime plaster walls give a relaxing feel. The log burning stove and country style dresser as country charm. The kitchen includes a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. Pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery are there too.
First Floor Description
Up two steps to a spacious walk in shower and loo. A few more stairs up to the stylish bedroom with a four poster bed and a roll top bath, perfect for a relaxing get away.
Window Views Description
Fabulous countryside views across the fields. Spot the local sheep or cheeky cows Peeping in at the window from the adjoining field!
