A fabulous mix of period, retro and contemporary makes this stylish house stand out from the norm. Tucked away on a peaceful private drive yet, only a short walk away from the heart of this popular coastal village and its wonderful beach.
Built in 1940, and completely refurbished in 2021, this spacious detached house sits at the upper end of the village on an unmade road that leads to National Trust woodland and Roman Camp - the highest point in Norfolk affording wonderful views. Fronted by a mature heather garden and tall pine trees, Low Wood is an elegant house filled with an array of interesting, original artworks and eclectic interior design that complements rustic wooden floors, original doors and a beamed ceiling or two. On the ground floor you are spoilt with options - a super cool sitting room with in-ceiling Sonos sound, both dimmer and funky lighting, plenty of comfortable seating and a Smart television; a charming library/snug/work space filled with books and board games, a wood burning stove, relaxed seating and doors to the exterior patio. The superbly kitted out kitchen has a breakfast area with doors opening to a second smaller patio and adjoins a more formal dining room as well as a very useful utility/boot room with a door to the front garden and parking area. And, lastly but not least there is a downstairs cloakroom with a raised shower; just made for cleaning up sandy dogs and very small people when returning from the beach. From the hallway, stairs lead up to the first floor landing and three bedrooms - a sumptuous master with en-suite shower room, a king-size bedroom with television and a delightful children's bedroom that's perfectly suitable for young adults too. As well as the en-suite to the master bedroom, there's a family bathroom with a luxurious Villeroy Boch bath and a bidet - how fab is that?! The pretty garden at the back of the house is a haven for wildlife, with frequent visits from Muntjac deer, foxes, rabbits and badgers.
Low Wood is a rather special Norfolk hideaway and is a wonderful choice if you are looking for a relaxing and tranquil getaway at any time of the year. Couples, friends and both young and older family groups will appreciate the space, comfort, cool stying and period features, as well as privacy and easy access to both coastal and rural Norfolk living.
