Marmaduke Cottage is a lovingly restored cottage that sleeps three in two bedrooms and is perfect for couples & small families. Situated in a small village on a quiet lane, it offers a peaceful base to explore the glorious Yorkshire Wolds.
The grade 2 listed cottage has been lovingly restored to retain its original character and is packed full of features such as oak beams and quarry-tiled floor; typical of a cottage of its age.
The cottage has a warm cosy feel to it and is very welcoming to guests after a long day exploring. Outside the cottage has a wonderful south facing garden to enjoy your morning coffee.

Outside Description
The front of the cottage has a grassed area leading to the lane, to the rear of the cottage is pretty south facing garden with a patio, in the summer it is filled with the scent of roses lavender and jasmine. An idea place to sit and have your morning coffee or Evening glass of wine.

A cosy and warm sitting room with an original cast iron fireplace, a comfy sofa and chair, Windsor chair for those wanting a harder chair.TV with free view for those cosy nights in after a day exploring. Light and sunny kitchen with pine bespoke kitchen units, dining area. Washing machine, microwave. electric oven and Hob. Fridge and small freezer. Our guests on arrival will find a tea tray, pretty china cups and cake already for a cup of tea on arrival. We also meet guests to ensure they are happy with the cottage
First Floor Description
There are 2 bedrooms, one double bedroom with views over the village meadow, a single to the rear overlooking the garden. Both have cream metal bedsteads with crisp white bedding and matching countryside coloured accessories . A plain white bathroom suite is complemented by royal blue towels and mats, a lovely window is complemented by pine shutters.
Window Views Description
To the front of the cottage, it has open views across the lane to the meadow and pretty village church, which Lord Marmaduke Langdale lies a famous King Charles 1 General from the civil war. Of which the cottage takes its name . The back of the cottage looks out onto a pretty garden surrounded by honeysuckle, jasmine and private patio.
