The gardens are a particularly beautiful and restful feature of Scale House, so take the time to stroll around the grounds and leave the kids to play on the extensive lush lawns that back on to private woodlands; When it’s time to unwind and relax further, perhaps a soak in the marvelous hot tub before or after dinner. The nearby town of Skipton hosts all local amenities, alongside a wealth of attractions, why not tour the glorious historical Skipton Castle, play a round of golf at the challenging Skipton Golf Course, or learn about Skipton’s history in the Craven Museum & Gallery. This beautiful apartment is delightfully situated on the edge of Somerset, bordering Devon in Porlock Vale. Sleeping up to five guests in total comfort the accommodation is idea for holidays and special breaks.
Allerford View is our only self catering apartment within Bossington Hall. Although it is listed as ‘accessible’ it is equally suitable for fully able bodied people. The adaptions are discrete, and unobtrusive. We created this apartment as there are few self catering holiday properties in the area with facilities like this.
The main bedroom is an En-Suite room, with a zip-and-link superking or twin bed. This has been lowered for better access (it appears higher in this image than it really is). The wetroom bathroom is entirely Travertine marble lined, with plenty of space around the facilities, and lots of grab handles. It has its own, dedicated, hot water cylinder. There is a second, non-adapted, toilet for other guests. The suite has a large lounge too, with 50″ HD TV, fireplace and Starlink WiFi. The lounge has wide French doors opening to the private courtyard, and lovely views of Allerford, hence the name. In the lounge is a single sofa bed and a double sofa bed, ideal for children. A PS4 is available upon request if the weather is inclement! (Subject to availability).
Outside is a private courtyard with table and chairs. Access to the front terrace (shared with B&B guests) is via a wheelchair friendly ramp.
There is a fully equipped kitchen in the suite. This has a high level double oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, dining table, and plenty of space, but is not adapted. There is plenty of cutlery, pots, pans, dishes, spatulas and every kitchen gadget you should need.
As part of the Bossington Hall property, you gain the use of the private 10 seater Cinema (booking required) and the vast grounds. Outside are 6 acres of grounds with a children’s play area, fly fishing lake, tennis court and the oldest private squash court in England. If you are looking for a venue to take a holiday, short break or to celebrate a special occasion with family and friends Merrieweathers ticks all the boxes. The accommodation consists of The Stables, sleeping eight in four bedrooms and the Hayloft, sleeping a further eight; together the properties offer over 5,500 sq ft of spacious and luxurious accommodation for large gatherings.

With stunning views across the rolling landscape of rural South Herefordshire, Trevase Granary is the perfect setting in which to unwind. This large, characterful barn boasts en suites in all 8 bedrooms, state-of-the-art Cinema Room with tiered seating, surround sound, access to Netflix, Sky, Sky Cinema and Sky Sports, separate lounge with Smart TV, a large dining room beneath wrought iron chandeliers and original Oak beams plus facilities for less able guests.
Guests can also enjoy the views from their own private walled garden, with star gazing potential. Within this fully enclosed area there is a large games room with a pool table, table football, table tennis, games console as well as indoor seating and kitchenette. The games room also has a fully equipped bar area (wine cooler, beer fridge, glasses, cocktail accessories/recipes and an ice bucket). In the warmer months, the seating area on the patio is the perfect place to watch the cattle and sheep graze in the nearby fields whilst you enjoy a cool drink or a meal prepared on the large gas BBQ (May to October) or pizza oven. A hydrotherapy hot tub, in its own separate room within the games room has glass doors which can be opened onto the patio area. Finally, the changing area with shower and WC fully complements these leisure facilities.

Trevase Granary is on a mixed working farm where there is also a five-acre coarse fishing lake which guests can fish. There is also secure storage for bicycles etc. and fenced parking for at least eight cars. There are 2 Tesla and 1 EV fast charging electric points. The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley AONB as well as nearby historic market towns offers a huge choice of things to see and do although we doubt you’ll want to leave the Granary!
