The living area has the most breathtaking, expansive views of Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Levels.

The Old Buttress, a charming annexe for two people that was refurbished in 2021 and is conveniently located to Alston in Cumbria, welcomes walkers and cyclists even on the rainiest of days and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding rolling green hills.

The spacious, open-concept studio has been beautifully furnished and remodelled. A grand mahogany super-king bed, an expansive sitting space, and a gorgeous open fireplace with a modern, genuine electric log effect fire are positioned in the heart of the room. An ingenious self-contained kitchen is created by a huge wall unit that is fully furnished and can be closed off when not in use. The part of the owner’s garden in front of Ayres End Studio is open to guests. This chic apartment is nestled in an utterly unique and gorgeous garden that was initially constructed in the 1920s and is expertly planned and maintained. The summer house, designed in the mediaeval style, is exclusively available to guests and is the ideal location for coffee in the morning before exploring the area. Just 400 yards from Ayres End Studio, the Bell Inn serves home-cooked meals in a classic pub atmosphere.

You will be encircled by nature here. Buzzards and red kites soar in the sky above, and when the stars come out, keep an ear out for hooting tawny owls and badgers ambling across the meadows. The gorgeous blooming trees will be in full bloom in the spring, along with the annual return of the swallows, who make their nests in our old structures. The lovely meadow flowers during the summer months give wildlife a nectar-rich sanctuary.

The totally self-contained cabin has underfloor heating for the cooler months and is entirely insulated with sheepswool. Everything you need to enjoy mealtimes is included in the beautifully designed kitchen.

If you do choose to go outside, though, you may open the cabin doors and eat al fresco on the deck area thanks to the built-in deck.
