The Pig House is very spacious with an enormous open plan kitchen, living and dining area which overlooks the courtyard garden to the south through four enormous glass screens.

The kitchen is very well equipped for any discerning chefs and many of our guests employ a local chef to come and cook for a special evening.

For those wishing to have a bit of time out, there is an additional sitting room which has a stunning glass corner which overlooks the valley. It really is the most tranquil room to sit in and read a book, chat or simply to sit and look out and enjoy the outside from inside!

Finally a cinema room completes the living space. There is a drop down screen, surround sound, very comfy Ligne Roset orange sofas, black out blinds and curtains so that you can shut yourself in and immerse yourself in a real cinema experience in the comfort of The Pig House.

The Pig House has internet connection through Starlink, so despite being very rural the internet speed is excellent.

The four ensuite bedrooms are all spacious with fitted wardrobes. All have superking beds, three of which are zip and link, so can be made up as single beds at the request of guests.

The bathrooms are tiled, with large showers, underfloor heating and electric towel rails. The shower in the master bedroom is so big that it has two showers in it!

The outside space at The Pig House is plentiful. Both gardens are fully enclosed. The courtyard garden faces south and has outdoor table and seating for eight.

There is also an outdoor/indoor area with comfy outdoor sofas.

A large jacuzzi which comfortably seats six is a great place for relaxing in the evening and enjoying the starlit Norfolk skies.

This popular Beach House vacation rental was formerly the painting studio of John Miller the famous St Ives Bay Beachscape painter. John Miller captured the beauty of the location in his iconic paintings that were created right there in The Beach House. Indeed one of the paintings of location was used for Chris Rea’s “King of the Beach” Album Cover.

This home away from home boasts a serene interior design, contemporary conveniences and naturally, provides stunning vistas visible from all rooms. The ground floor is open plan, with a pleasant living area with a lovely large dining table at one end of the room and a well stocked galley kitchen area to the other. One of the two sofas can be made into a double bed, and the space is tidy, light, and also cosy and inviting. You can prepare a dinner to be eaten at the dining table or sit outside on the lovely terrace and take in the breathtaking view while sipping a drink. It’s a great place to unwind after a day at the beach and perfect for those who might just wish to stroll along the sand under the moon and stars at night to gaze at the moonlit water and feel the sand between their toes!

Two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with twin single beds are located upstairs. Stunning bay views from the windows, both rooms are well furnished with good storage space. Experience a cosy sleep and wake up to the magnificent view that inspired John Miller to paint his iconic seascapes in the very same spot. The sound of the sea can be heard when you freshen up after a restful night’s sleep or wash away the sand in the shower area. It is such a romantic experience that several guests have popped the question and tied the knot whilst staying. It is hard to find a more perfect romantic setting for a Marriage Proposal. Definitely a place to respond with a “Yes!”

If you can take your eyes off the breathtaking views of the sea or resist going outside for a private moonlit beach walk, there are plenty of options for unwinding and cuddling up either to watch a movie or read a good book. You will only be disturbed by the sound of the waves. Throughout the day, there is much for everyone to enjoy. Literally, sandy beaches are right outside your door, alternatively, few meters away is a fantastic links golf course. If not, those who prefer the water can go paddle boarding, kayaking or kitesurfing. Hayle is a fantastic place to attempt kayaking, paddle boarding, and surfing if you’re interested in water activities.

If taking it easy is more your style it is possible to go fishing right outside your front door. Or, if birdwatching is a hobby the location is renowned for its twitching potential as it is the most southerly RSPB Reserve. Come spot a Golden Plover, Wigeon, Godwit, Redshank, Teal, Heron, Cormorant, Gull or Crow to name a few. Nature abounds at the location with guests repeatedly spotting Seals from the comfort of their beds to Glow Worms on an evening stroll.

The village of Lelant is well served with two great local pubs, a wonderful bistro and fabulous bird watching cafe. Enjoy a morning stroll with breathtaking views by using the South West Coastal Footpath. Porthkidney Beach welcomes dogs year-round and as many families are not complete without their four legged friend The Beach House is a wonderful place to start the day with your pet. The Hounds report back that the beach is “paw-fect”.

The Beach House is based directly on the St Michael’s Way Pilgrimage Route and are part of the Camino so you can get your first Camino stamp just by walking to The Beach House! If you feel like a walk further afield it is possible to walk via the beach into Carbis Bay and enjoy the location where world leaders congregated for the G7 in 2020 and enjoyed a Cornish Beach BBQ. The location was chosen to impress President’s and Prime Minister’s as it is indisputably a “World Class”, something many famous artists became aware of hundreds of years ago when the likes of Whistler was first attracted to the special St. Ives “light”. The location has also inspired writers and the famous local author Rosamunde Pilcher who described the walk to the house as her favourite walk: “My favourite walk is at Lelant, down the road past the Church onto the golf course. You see the Bay and the colours, and it’s never the same – it’s just perfect.”

Begin your day with a cup of coffee in bed or outside and take in the constantly shifting hues over the famous Godrevy Lighthouse. Even in the middle of summer, Lelant village is peaceful and calm. It features two pubs and a pleasant cafe where you can get a bite to eat and a local pint. St. Ives is close by and has a lovely harbour of its own if you’re willing to go a little farther along the South West Coastal Route. In addition, you may view some beautiful artwork at the Tate and the Barbara Hepworth Museum, which was once the residence of the well-known sculptor. Easy day outings include the Eden Project, Lands End, Minack Theatre, St. Michael’s Mount, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Wesleyan church, a magnificent converted church with a carefully considered and well-curated plan that highlights the exceptional unobstructed views of the surrounding Yorkshire Dales, was constructed in 1884 with many Gothic Revival architectural elements. The recent renovation has made sure that many of these traditional features now merge perfectly with all the modern comforts you would expect in a truly lovely rural hideaway, thanks to the property’s ideal location on the Bolton Abbey Estate.

The spacious open-plan living space with classic vaulted ceilings that evoke an atmosphere of old-world charm and warmth is accessible from the lovely white wooden entrance. Separating the cosy living area from the contemporary fully equipped kitchen and dining area with a big island and antique church pews, the room’s focal point is the dual aspect wood burning fireplace and open chimney breast.

Wesleyan Chapel has four spacious bedrooms (two double four poster beds and a super-king that may be made into twin beds upon request) that can accommodate up to eight people. The bedrooms are located down a stone staircase on the lower floor. Every bedroom is furnished with heritage colours and classic designs, and each has its own bathroom. All the bathrooms have cosy underfloor heating.

The patio outside has a seating area that is thoughtfully designed to optimise the enjoyment of the peace and quiet as well as the breathtaking views of Barden Bridge and the Wharfe Valley.

Enjoy a hot tub on the outdoor patio while taking in the pristine views of the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. For the most unforgettable outdoor dining experience, there is also a large seating area and a barbecue. Please be aware that in order to perform necessary water testing, the Bolton Abbey Estates team needs daily access to the hot tub. Every Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the hot tub will be drained, cleaned, and refilled. There is no need to enter the cottage.

The neighbouring Devonshire Spa is open to Wesleyan Chapel guests for £7.50 per person. Reservations are required for 45-minute timed periods, which are available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Treatments, prolonged use of the spa’s amenities, and lunch are all included in the spa day experiences that are offered. With everything you need for an amazing vacation, this lovely standalone barn is located in the Norfolk countryside. Sleeping up to ten guests the expansive Kings Beck Barn features four opulent bedrooms, two sitting areas, and an open-plan kitchen. Located in the rolling, pristine countryside at the end of a private drive, The Well House is a romantic, one-of-a-kind, and intimate getaway for two. To provide a unique vacation house, the owners have preserved a lot of the property’s historical features. The glass-topped, 40-foot-deep Well is an intriguing focal point that serves as a dining table with lights, shedding light on the Well’s interior. Along with lots of original exposed brickwork and timbers, there is also a comfortable wood-burning stove in an ancient brick fireplace. Your own outdoor area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ is accessible through old, sturdy doors and full-height windows that bring in an abundance of natural light.

Guests can enjoy a pear, apple, and olive tree orchard on the four-acre estate where the cottage is located. The Well House is close to a number of walking routes, such as the well-known Monarch’s Way path, which roughly traces Charles II’s escape route after the Battle of Worcester.

You will have complete access to the farm during your visit, which includes acres of woods, pastures, and meadows—nearly all of which are located within Local Wildlife Sites. Craggan Mill is a stunningly refurbished corn mill that sleeps up to 16 people and has combined some unique, stunning handmade additions with its traditional character.
