The kitchen is well equipped if you feel like cooking or pop round the corner to our local Inn. Butley Priory is unlike any other place in the world. considered “one of the most romantic houses in England” by Vogue. This historic Grade 1 listed structure, which is only 700 years old, has lately undergone exquisite restoration to create an incredibly comfortable space. It is a memorable place to stay because of its Gothic architecture, spacious reception halls with vaulted ceilings, and burning log fireplaces.
The only structures left from the ancient 20-acre estate are the Refectory barn, the Rere-Dorter, and the Priory, which was established in the 12th century as the gatehouse to an Augustinian Priory.
