Welcome to The Timber House, a Secluded Countryside Retreat, just 25 Minutes from Birmingham. Featuring four-bedrooms, this beautifully crafted oak-framed home is nestled within 35 acres of rolling British countryside. Hidden at the end of a private track, this peaceful and private escape offers complete seclusion—with no passing traffic and no neighbours in sight. Whether you’re gathering with friends or enjoying a relaxing family break, The Timber House is the perfect place to unwind, explore, and reconnect with nature.
Despite its rural charm, the house is easily accessible, just a short drive from the M5 and only 25 minutes from Birmingham city centre. For those arriving by train, nearby stations include Northfield, Longbridge, Rowley Regis, Cradley Heath, Lye, and Selly Oak, all within four miles.
Though only 15 years old, the house has all the character of a period property, thanks to its oak-frame construction and distinctive architectural features. Inside, the interiors are infused with my style, speak to my love for textures, colours, and narratives.
The living space includes a grand entrance hallway, a welcoming farmhouse kitchen, and ‘The Big Room’ a luxurious open-plan area for dining and relaxing. Curl up in ‘The Snug’ beside the wood burner, or retreat to ‘The Reading Room’, perched at the top of the landing and surrounded by original beams.
There are four beautifully furnished bedrooms, including a spacious master bedroom with an en suite, plus a stylish family bathroom. Outside, the private drive provides parking for up to six cars.
We welcome well-behaved dogs, though please note there are no solid boundaries, and the surrounding land is rich with wildlife, including a resident barn owl you may be lucky enough to spot.
As flower growers, we also have a small workshop on-site, and you may occasionally see us tending the fields during the day—but never after 5pm. Fresh, homegrown florals will be waiting for you inside the house, and if you’d like to try something new, floristry workshops can be arranged as part of your stay.
To elevate your experience, we can help organise luxury extras such as a hot tub or sauna, ideal for making the most of the peaceful outdoor setting. From the doorstep, there are miles of public footpaths to explore, and even a couple of traditional country pubs within walking distance.
Whether you’re seeking a creative retreat, a special place to reconnect, or a luxurious break in nature, The Timber House offers style, comfort, and complete privacy in an unforgettable countryside setting.
