Chapel Studio is set in pretty countryside in a farming hamlet called Downhead. It is situated in the triangle of Frome, Bath and Shepton Mallet on the edge of the Mendip Hills ...
The Mendip area is a walkers and foodies heaven with some wonderful walks from your doorstep and an an excellent choice of lovely restaurants nearby to choose from. The nearest town is the beautiful market town of Frome with a wide range of specialist shops, eateries and galleries.
Dogs are welcome for an extra charge of £30 for the stay.
We welcome bookings from a 3 nights onwards but would prefer changeover and arrival times were on weekdays, Monday to Friday, but not essential if the weekend is the only time convenient for your arrival..

Outside Description
Small enclosed garden with hedges and stone walling. Rustic table and outside seating. Parking is either outside the Chapel on the small country road or opposite in a designated parking space. There are 4 steps up to the Chapel entrance.
Downstairs Description
Large open plan sitting and dining area called the Reading Room from its Chapel days. Comfy sofas, a TV, DVD player, a Grand Piano (not concert pitch), and doors which open up onto a small enclosed garden. Fully kitted out kitchen off the Reading room with all the pots, pans and cutlery you need. Behind the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine. For chillier days there is underfloor heating and radiators. Also leading of the Reading Room is the bathroom. Comfy bath with overhead thermostatic shower
