Directly outisde the cottage lies the tiny village green, complete with original water pump, stocks and neighbouring cottages. The Red Lion Inn, serving home-cooked food, is a 200-yard stroll down the lane and in neighbouring Waterhouses you’ll find Ye Olde Crown Inn, a cafe, post office and convenience store.
