Nestled within one half of the Grade I listed Horningsham Lodge and forming the historic south entrance to Longleat Park, East Lodge offers a truly unique retreat for up to four guests. This beautifully restored 18th-century gatehouse sits at the start of a mile-long carriage drive, offering breathtaking views towards Longleat House.
Blending period charm with modern comfort, East Lodge is the perfect countryside escape for couples, families, or friends. The open-plan living space features a well-equipped kitchen, complete with a wine cooler, alongside a cosy sitting area with comfortable seating and a decorative fireplace. Two steps lead up to the dining area, where guests can enjoy meals while gazing across to Longleat House.
A characterful winding staircase connects each floor, complemented by tasteful décor and subtle touches reflecting the estate’s rich history. On the first floor, the elegant master bedroom features a 6’ super-king-size zip-and-link bed and views over the private garden. The family bathroom includes a bath with an overhead shower. A further flight of stairs leads to the second bedroom with twin 3’ single beds.
Outside, the private garden offers a peaceful spot for morning coffee or al fresco dining beneath the trees. Scenic walks begin right from your doorstep, and it’s not uncommon to glimpse deer grazing on the rolling parkland beyond.
