In the centre of rural Dorset, Gould’s Farmhouse is a four-bedroom farmhouse with a huge enclosed garden that can accommodate eight guests. A stunningly restored farmhouse with historic elements that dates back to the 1600s.
It has had a recent thorough renovation and is decorated with antiques and modern conveniences, making it feel like a second home. It features a spacious living area, a separate dining room, and a separate study with wireless internet connectivity. There’s a beautiful conservatory that faces south.
Four double bedrooms are served by one bathroom and two shower facilities above. Because there is a functional lift to the upstairs section (available by prior arrangement only), the residence is perfect for persons with limited mobility.
There is a sizable garden outside where kids can play with lots of space. And sunloungers and barbecues. A decent kids’ playground is located 100 yards up the road. The village shops, which stock basic necessities, the tavern, and the post office are all conveniently located near the house on foot.
The charming rural setting is in the heart of Thomas Hardye country, with the fictitious town of Casterbridge (Dorchester) about 8 miles away. It provides easy access to the well-known Jurassic Coast. Only 14 miles away is the breathtaking shoreline at Durdle Door and Lulworth Cover. Weymouth Bay, with its beautiful, sandy beaches and classic beach attractions like Punch and Judy and donkey rides, is about a half-hour’s drive away. You may visit the well regarded Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum in about twenty minutes. Farmer Palmers is less than thirty minutes away for younger guests.
