If your ideal break involves waking up to a big view, getting outdoors with the children and bringing the dog along too, Horseshoe Cottage is a lovely place to make your base.
The cottage sleeps five and is set around the peaceful courtyard at Clyne Farm Centre. Its standout feature is the rear sunroom, with wide views across the fields towards Clyne Valley Country Park and the sweep of Swansea Bay. It is a wonderful spot for a morning coffee, a quiet read or simply watching the changing view.
Inside, there is a spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. On the same level is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Two steps lead down to the family bathroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom with a ¾-size bed.
For families with horse-mad children, there is another rather special bonus: our riding stables are directly opposite the cottage. Horse riding is available for children and adults, and guests looking for a rather muddier adventure can also take on Challenge Valley, our outdoor assault course.
Dogs are very welcome too, with an enclosed rear garden, so they can be part of the holiday rather than left at home.
Despite the countryside setting, you are far from cut off. Mumbles, Swansea and the Gower Peninsula are all within easy reach, giving you plenty of choice between beaches, coastal walks, cafés, days out and evenings back at the cottage.
There is free fast Wi-Fi, private parking and everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay. And if you are travelling with a larger family or group, Horseshoe Cottage’s position around the main courtyard makes it particularly handy when booked alongside other Clyne Farm cottages.
Horseshoe works especially well for families who want more from their cottage than somewhere to sleep: space to be together, countryside outside the door, dogs included, horses nearby and some of South Wales’ best coastline waiting to be explored.
