James’s Parlour is a large, spacious well-appointed cottage ideal for a multi-generational holiday or group celebration. Accommodating 12 guests comfortably. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with plenty of space for two travel cots if required. With a Ground floor twin bedroom which is ideal for grandparents or teens.
James’s Parlour has exclusive access to our shared facilities which will keep all ages entertained during their stay, including our Indoor Swimming Pool, Multi Sports Court & Under 5’s Play Area.
Along with access to our NEW Football Field, Picnic Area, Bird Watching & Star Gazing Areas, Oak Acre Avenue walk, BBQ’s, Bike Store, on site parking, and Free WiFi.
If walking or cycling is what your group enjoys, then there is plenty of this right on your doorstep, with The Shropshire Way running through the farm, The Shropshire Union Canal just down the road and the Mercia Cycle way running past!
The cottage itself has a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, which has been thoughtfully designed with everything your guests might need to enjoy their time together.
The elegant dining table, comfortably seats 12 and is ideal for a celebration meal or a simple family feast. Enjoy lingering over a long meal where conversations flow as easily as the wine, whilst the children are entertained by a film or game.
The modern kitchen is well equipped to cater for large groups, containing all you need for any age of guest.
Outside, James’s Parlour has a very large enclosed lawned garden and substantial patio area that wraps itself around the cottage. This generous green space is perfect for the children to play safely in, or for the adults to quietly enjoy a good book. Watch the sun go down over the fields whilst you enjoy an alfresco meal with something bubbly; or a fun picnic with the children!
Locally, there are plenty of excellent local attractions to keep all ages entertained, including the incredible Bewilderwood, the world reknowned Chester Zoo, Hoo Farm & Dinosaur Land, the magical Hawkstone Follies, Park Hall Farm with its wonderful Tractor Rides and Alderford Lake Aqua Park that is literally just down the road!! Along with many Castles, Historic Houses and places of interest as well!!
Our charming local market town of Whitchurch is just 2 miles away, with a delightful array of coffee shops, bakeries, artisan shops & boutiques and the fantastic Antiques Emporium where you can lose yourself for hours. For the adults we have wonderful wine bars, restaurants and traditional Pubs.
It has a Farmer’s Market the first Saturday of every month.
