Outside Description
The selection of indoor spaces at Mountain View Lodge is matched outside. On sunny days, spread out onto the patio for relaxed alfresco dining, or enjoy an aperitif on the idyllic swing seat that overlooks the large lawned area. The side garden is enclosed, providing the perfect spot for young children and dogs, and this hosts another outdoor dining area and the lodge’s hot tub.
The garage holds its own secrets: while it is a useful space for storing bikes, skis and paddle boards (and the plethora of other sports equipment that can be put to good use in the Cairngorms National Park), it’s also much more than that, with its pool table and dartboard.
Situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, Mountain View Lodge, a Alpine-style lodge sleeping up to nine with hot tub is ideally placed for mountain biking, hill walking, fly fishing and everything else this area offers. It’s just five miles from Carrbridge, home of Landmark Adventure Park, and Grantown-on-Spey, where Cairngorms Activities provides outdoor fun for all the family. As well as being close to many local attractions, Mountain View Lodge offers so many natural trails right from your doorstep that you may never want to leave.
Downstairs Description
When you enter Mountain View Lodge, the bright and airy hallway leads you to the open-plan space which is ideal for families with its cooking, eating and lounging areas. There’s an adjacent loo, plus two ground-floor bedrooms. The welcoming main bedroom has a kingsize bed, garden views and an ensuite shower room, and there’s a lovely bunk room that sleeps three and has a chunky wooden bed frame that children (and adults!) will love. The other two bedrooms – one with twin beds, the other a king – are upstairs, next to the large family bathroom.
First Floor Description
The other two bedrooms – one with twin beds, the other a king – are upstairs, next to the large family bathroom.
Also upstairs is this lodge’s secret: a second living room with a balcony and those ever-changing mountain views. There’s a TV up here for film nights, or you could simply while away the hours watching the River Dulnain meandering through the valley to meet the Spey, with the Cairngorm mountains beyond.
