Ravendale has reverse accommodation with two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom (super-king option available - please request at time of booking), a shower room, and a bathroom with a separate shower on the ground floor.
Ravendale is one of just four high quality self-catering cottages which are delightfully situated in a rural location in the heart of the picturesque Eden Valley. There is also a fifth property available for rent (Aster cottage) a self-catering cottage which is located in the beautiful village of nearby Kirkoswald.
All of the cottages are dog friendly
Bordered in the West by the lakes and mountains of the Lake District National Park, now a World Heritage Site and to the East by the hills and waterfalls of the North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales.
All four properties are located around a central courtyard, which provides ample parking for all cottages. There is a large shared garden, predominantly laid to grass, with mature borders surrounding. Each cottage has it's own outdoor seating located close to the cottage, in addition there are various seating areas located around the garden for all to enjoy.
Other facilities include a washer/dryer, clothes airer, outside clothes line, boot rack, a Mud Daddy, additional freezer space, games, DVD's, books and maps. These facilities are shared amongst three other properties.
Leading off the downstairs hallway are two double bedrooms, both with double beds, one spacious twin room (super-king option available - please request at time of booking), a shower room and a bathroom with separate shower enclosure. All bedrooms are individually styled with coordinating soft furnishings, white bed linen and fluffy white towels. Artwork is by a local artist.
First Floor Description
The stairs rise centrally within the property and at the top to the left is the open plan kitchen/dining area. The well equipped kitchen has been fitted recently and now benefits from integrated appliances and extractor fan. There is ample seating for six around a country pine table, plus occasional seating for 2 and a TV. The kitchen/dining area is dual aspect, having low arched windows to the front, overlooking the courtyard, and to the rear, overlooking the gardens. There are open beams and a skylight window giving a light and spacious feel.
To the right of the stairs is the lounge, again having open beams, a skylight and triple aspect views. A recent addition to the lounge are double doors which give direct access into the shared garden. There is ample seating for six on three sofas, a log burning stove, a smart TV and a DVD player.
Window Views Description
Ravendale has views to the rear overlooking the gardens, to the side overlooking the garden and to the front overlooking the courtyard.
